Reason for selecting this field

A lesser known and lesser respected field amongst the medical streams, but definitely one of the strongest when it comes to patient care as patient care is incomplete without an accurate diagnosis and Pathology is all about accurately diagnosing a disease. Pathology has come a long way from manual testing to complete automation, from only blood testing to gene sequencing, not to mention the stringent quality control measures that go into it; and it’s a matter of pride in selecting Pathology as specialization to learn about the various disease patterns and the diagnostics involved
