X RAY CHEST PA VIEW
₹600
A chest X-ray PA (posteroanterior) view is the most common chest X-ray, taken from back to front while you stand facing the detector. It gives a clear, accurate view of the lungs, heart, and chest bones with a low radiation dose.
It helps detect pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung nodules or tumors, COPD, fluid around the lungs (pleural effusion), collapsed lung, and air leaks (pneumothorax). It also shows an enlarged heart and rib fractures.
It is widely used for diagnosis, pre-surgery checks, medical screening, and monitoring lung disease.
You should get a chest X-ray PA view if you have a persistent cough, fever, breathlessness, chest pain, coughing up blood, or unexplained weight loss. It is also recommended for suspected pneumonia or tuberculosis, before surgery, for pre-employment or visa medical checks, and for monitoring lung or heart conditions.
No special preparation or fasting is required for a chest X-ray PA view. Remove metal objects such as necklaces, chains, hairpins, and clothing with buttons or hooks, as you may be given a gown. Inform the staff if you are pregnant or might be. You will be asked to take a deep breath and hold it briefly.
No, fasting is not required for a chest X-ray PA view. You can eat and drink normally before the test. Simply remove any metal jewelry or clothing with metal parts, and inform the staff if you are pregnant or might be. The X-ray takes only a few minutes.
