The CBC (hemogram) with ESR test combines a Complete Blood Count, which measures hemoglobin, RBCs, WBCs, and platelets, with the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR), a marker of inflammation.

Normal ESR is about 0–15 mm/hr in men and 0–20 mm/hr in women.

Abnormal CBC values may indicate anemia, infections, bleeding disorders, or leukemia. A high ESR suggests inflammation, infection, tuberculosis, autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, or cancer.
